Apply with your journalist credentials.
Submit your full name, email address, and link to a recently published article. Apply now.
We suggest applying for a minimum of 2 licenses, allowing you to communicate with the other ChatMail users you desire in your group. For instance, your editor, key sources, colleagues or family.

Supply your own OEM unlocked Pixel device.
You'll require a supported OEM unlocked Pixel device. Contact us for currently supported models.
Pixel phones sold by Verizon are incompatible. To confirm your device can be unlocked, navigate to Settings > System > Developer Options > Select and enable OEM Unlocking. Renati works over Wi-Fi or purchase a data-enabled SIM.

Approved Journalists Receive Renati Digital Download.
After your application is accepted, you’ll select your ChatMail usernames. You’ll then receive a unique Renati install link that expires after 7 days. Your device and encrypted chat are then ready to use with your group.
The installation process should take less than 10 minutes per phone. No personal information is required to set up your device passwords.
